Homer gets fired for causing another accident at the nuclear plant, and almost commits suicide. He see the light, and becomes a safety activist, and soon goes after the plant he was fired from. NOTES: Smithers makes his first "on-screen" appearance (his voice can be heard in the Christmas special).

Just after Mr Smithers says "...so that we have the energy to from your favourite video game to yummy cotton candy machines", all the children start clapping but the sound of clapping starts BEFORE they start clapping.
After Bart's prank call with Moe, you can see Bart and Lisa laughing. However the telephone's wire does not connect to the receiver.
As Sherri and Terri are walking along talking to Bart, one of the twins' bodies disappears and her head seems to be floating in mid-air.

Great episode...this is where Homer gets the job he has throughout the rest of the series. I love the prank calls Bart made to Moe in early episodes...good stuff! Hey, is Smithers black in this episode? He definitely looked different back then!
