I loved the Simpsons for a long time, and I think that this is the episode where the Simpsons' jokes begin to get corny and lame. A different type of humor started from around this episode, that isn't really funny. It almost as if the writers were trying too hard. And as a hardcore Atheist, I still like the message of this episode.
