That was a fun episode. Homer's speech (Let us curl my lady...) was classic. So many classic lines.
Seems though that a lot of viewers have forgotten that the Simpsons has a social commentary aspect. Lisa's pin addiction is a reference to the horrendous drug addiction in Vancouver. Alcoholism is rife in Russia as is well known.
And its a little tiring when people complain about the Simpson's ripping on their nation, or portraying racial stereotypes. It IS a cartoon, after all, and we find humour in the racial stereotyping. I am Scottish, but I have never bitched about Groundkeeper Willie's character.
Chill out, laugh and enjoy.
