The Simpsons 1610 There's Something About Marrying Times Watched: 536867 Comments: 75 Rating:
But first, a Fox disclaimer: This episode contains discussions of same sex marraige. Parental discretion is advised. Bart and Milhouse try playing a prank on Barney, but it backfires; however, a tourist who literally just fell off a turnip truck is not as lucky. However, that tourist turns out to be a roving reporter for a TV show, and gives Springfield his lowest rating ever. In order to regain the tourist trade, Lisa suggests legalizing same-sex marriages. When Reverend Lovejoy refuses to conduct them, despite Marge's protests, Homer (who hears that he can get $200 per ceremony) joins "The e-Piscopal Church" and becomea a minister online. One prospective customer is a bit of a surprise: Patty. The surprise isn't that she's a lesbian, but that she actually found "the right woman," a professional golfer who hit Patty with a 3-wood (well, a 3-metal) when her Pro-Am partner, Krusty, ducked. However, Marge, who was all for same-sex marriages when Reverend Lovejoy refused to support them, can't bring herself to supporting Patty's marriage. She changes her mind when she sees Patty's fiancee leaving the toilet seat up and shaving, but at the ceremony, she reveals the truth by revealing Patty's fiancee's rather large Adams apple. He says that he loves her and asks her to marry him anyway, but Patty refuses to go straight, and walks out into the sunset with Selma.

WTF guys stop taking bad about Christianity tellytubby your a fucking moron okay, I'm not trying to put you down but honestly you could have been a little more smart than that your a fucking idiot full stop.
Archie_wrath the fact that you called us sick fucks for eating pigs means your probably a Jew or a Muslim but I suppose those two religions haven't had any problem and there better than Christianity, oh no sorry I'm wrong
Jews: Often were and are the religion of the higher class and the ones who treat the lower class like shit for it. The Jews are on top of many forms of career like film industries and can and often change things to make them beneficial for other Jewish workers ever wondered why there a small frequent references to someone being a Jew in a movie?
Muslims: if you really can't figure this one out.... I don't mean to be racist but the middle east is int always looked up on so kindly by the western world for all it's religious fanatics and suicide bombings, and killing and harming innocent humans for there religious purposes, now I'm not saying they all do that but there are a few groups, and also oppressing women and sacrificing animals is pretty inhumane so is killing someone for singing or for doing something slightly different to their way of life.
And I know Catholics have had there problems but what religions haven't now I'm sorry if you find me being hostile but on so many websites there are unprovoked remarks from non-Catholics or Atheists saying similar things like
"Christians are so ignorant"
And these comments instigate a response like this which of course makes many of them act like they're still better than us even though there is almost no difference.
I do well in school and Catholicism has had almost 0 effect on my life, it's just a belief, and I think the Jewish community can relate to the years of persecution but now I think that is changing to Catholics for doing nothing. Sure maybe in the bible it says Homosexuality is wrong but I'm still for it and honestly I think if someone ifs a good person then they should and will get into heaven but still even though Catholics have slight different beliefs to what a book that's almost 2000 years old there is still persecution directed at us.
Also Catholicism could have just been a thing that was looked down upon at the time and the people who wrote the bible may have followed that and thought that it was wrong. The bible is only wrote by humans which are not perfect.
Sorry for such a long comment and I know it seemed a bit uncalled for but as I said multiple stupid things have caused a chain reaction to trigger it.

In response to archie_wrath: I am a Christian, and I'm afraid that you have a misplace view about Christ, and His role on in coming to the earth. Jesus Himself said that He did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. ( Matt. 5:17) Additionally, the covenant of grace that brings freedom from the law is not license to do whatever you please. Paul says in Romans 6:1-2 that we must not continue to live in sin since we have been freed from it. As for the idea of homosexual relationships, it is not strictly an Old Testament phenomenon. Romans 1:24-27 tells us that homosexual relationships are consequence of the depraved minds of humanity, as a result of their turning away from God. Furthermore, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 also speaks out against homosexuality. There are many other New Testament examples of this as well. My intention is not to gang up on gay people. No sin is better or worse than the other, and in that regard, heterosexuals who fornicate (or have pre-marital sex) are just as bad as homosexuals. My intention was only to respond to the flaw comments listed above that inaccurately portrayed the Christian faith.

I guess the Christians need their own religion explained to them.
Homosexuality is forbidden in the old testament, this is true. However, when Jesus came, he did away with that which is why you can now eat pigs (you sick fucks) without going to hell. Romans 6:14b. You are not under the law anymore.
Galatians 5:14 states that the entire essence of Jesus's new law is Love God, Love Your Neighbour, Love Yourself.
So as you can see the key word is /love/ and if two people love each other regardless of race or gender, how is that in any way against the Christian ideal?
Putting a parental discresion warning on this episode is as bad as putting one on interracial marriage.
Beyond that, I still find it gross for anyone to put anything up their ass.
